Virginia Living Museum LIVE EgretCam

Snowy Egret Nest on camera 24/7

Four Snowy Egret babies at the Virginia Living Museum are growing up before our eyes and through the lens of the Virginia Living Museum’s streaming Egretcam. The camera stream is being hosted by media partner WVEC-TV.

The four babies were hatched  in the museum’s Coastal Plain Aviary July 14-18 and are expected to stay around the nest for about four weeks. The camera captures nest activity 24/7 and can even be viewed at night.

Both Snowy Egret parents are doing a great job feeding the youngsters and take turns guarding the nest. The parents feed the babies a mixture of flies and fish.

Museum visitors can see the nest and babies at eye level only feet off the outdoor boardwalk in the Coastal Plain Aviary. Enjoy this close up view into the wonders of nature here at the Virginia Living Museum
