Group Visits
The Virginia Living Museum welcomes your group! Our goal is to offer your clients memories that will last a lifetime, in addition to helping you with all the planning and details. We offer a fantastic 2- to 3-hour tour option to suit groups of all ages and up to 400 visitors at a time.
Conveniently located two miles off I-64 and only 20 miles from the Historic Triangle of Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown, the Virginia Living Museum is central to many hotels, restaurants and shopping malls. If your group is wild about wildlife, we ensure the Virginia Living Museum will become one of the highlights of their tour of the Hampton Roads area of Virginia.
Take a self-guided tour of Virginia’s natural history from the mountains to the sea, with exhibits that look back at you. Travel the universe in the digital state-of-the-art planetarium theater. Student groups can book SOL-coordinated programs and labs or mini-programs that feature hands-on activities.
Looking for a place to perform? Combine a performance in our outdoor amphitheater or entrance courtyard with a self-guided visit.
Behind-the-Scenes tours with the Curatorial staff and after-hours rentals are also available.
Does your group love shows? Our Abbitt Planetarium has a variety of shows for all ages.
The average length of a self-guided Museum tour is 2-2 ½ hours. Please allow an extra 45 minutes if your group is booked for a Planetarium Show.
Group Leaders, Travel Agents, Tour Operators and Receptive Operators are welcome to visit the Museum at anytime for a familiarization tour to get an “up-close and personal” view of our facilities and wildlife.
We look forward to welcoming your group upon their arrival here at the Virginia Living Museum for their totally Wild Time!
