Have the Virginia Living Museum Visit Your School

Outreach programs are specially designed, SOL-correlated presentations in your school classroom or auditorium. Staff scientists/instructors from the Virginia Living Museum’s Education Department introduce your class to a variety of natural science topics through the use of live animals, museum artifacts and active student participation in an exciting ‘hands-on’ format. Programs are specifically designed to function as both an introduction to SOL topics and as reinforcement of previously taught science concepts.

These programs are also appropriate for day care centers.

Looking for a guest speaker? How about a live animal program or a mini-museum?  Or maybe an  engaging, hands-on program for seniors?  The Museum offers a variety of year-round and summer programs appropriate for libraries, organizations, church groups, retirement centers and nursing homes. Some programs are also available to schools, PTAs and day care centers in the evening and on weekends.

Have the VLM Visit Your Corporation

Looking for a guest speaker? How about a live animal program?  The Museum will come TO YOU with our live, large birds of prey.
