Scout Camp Ins | 2023

Bring your pack or troop for an unforgettable night at the Virginia Living Museum! Experience what the museum has to offer after-hours and set up your sleeping bag next to your favorite exhibits. In the morning, get free admission to the museum that day.

Fee: $40 per scout, $30 per adult (1 adult free for every 5 scouts)

Children must be at least 6 years old to participate.

Girl Scouts: Night Owl Camp-in

Dates: Jan 28-29, Feb 24-25, March 24-25

Time: 7pm-9am

Are you a night owl? Come explore the night by meeting some nocturnal animals, discovering the stars, and experimenting in the dark!

Camp-in activities can be counted towards some of the requirements of these badges: Brownies Home Scientist and Space Science Adventurer, Juniors Animal Habitats and Space Science Investigator, Cadets Night Owl and Space Science Researcher.

 

Cub Scouts: Zookeeper Camp-in

Dates: Jan 13-14, Feb 18-19, March 10-11

Time: 7pm-9am

Have you ever wanted to work at a zoo or aquarium? Spend the night with us and learn how VLM keepers take care of all our fish, reptiles, amphibians, birds and mammals. Meet some of our animals up close and have a Q&A with one of our keepers!

Camp-in activities can be counted towards some of the requirements of these Cub Scout Adventures: Tiger in the Wild, Fur Feathers and Ferns, and Into the Wild.
