 , the night sky comes alive with free outdoor stargazing (weather permitti
 ng)\, planetarium programs\, and dazzling laser shows under the dome of th
 e Abbitt Planetarium. Stop by the planetarium lobby throughout the evening
  for special Meteor Day activities and learn more about one of the year's 
 most anticipated celestial events.\nStargazing\nAs darkness falls\, our as
 tronomy team will guide you through Virginia's night sky. Look for planets
 \, star clusters\, and seasonal constellations while learning about the up
 coming Perseid Meteor Shower.\n\nTelescopes: Abbitt Observatory or Conserv
 ation Garden\, depending on the weather forecast.\n\nObserving is free and
  open to all event attendees.\nEntry\nMain Entrance open for check-in.\nSh
