Join us at the museum to learn about different invasive species threatening Virginia ecosystems. Talk with experts in the field, observe invasive species, and identify ways you can support habitats and species.

Vendors & Activity Tables

Tracking Invasives – Learn how animals or plants can accidentally locate to new areas and how we can reduce the threat of potential invasives.
Lanternfly Scavenger Hunt – Guests will have to explore the museum to identify and count the lanternflies. Enter your guess for a prize pack!
Native vs. Invasive – Identify the differences between native and invasive species that compete in the same habitat (i.e. nutria vs. muskrat).
Collection Table – Explore different types of native and non-native species with these hands-on biofacts.
