NEW: Play Date Field Trips

Everyone loves to go on a Field Trip! There is no better way to connect to your child and to nature than with this new interactive outdoor program for children ages 4-10. Play Date activities will pair students with parent/guardians for activities that will focus on a variety of nature-based themes. Our Play Date Field Trips will visit two different local field sites either the forest or a beach destination. Play Date activities will pair students with parent/guardians for activities that will focus on a variety of nature-based themes.

Please note: The purpose of the Play Date Field Trip programs is to help parentsconnect their children to creative play and learning in the out-of doors. Therefore, parents will be active participants – along with their children – in activities that VLM educators will model, then help supervise.

Dates/Times: Wednesday 9:30 – 11:30am: April 12 (Newport News Park)
Saturdays 9:30-11:30am : October 22 (Grandview Beach) and April 15 (Newport News Park)

Cost: Free for everyone(ages 3-12).

Location: Families will be directed where to meet at either Grandview or Newport News Park locations.
