Get set for oceans of fun with the Virginia Living Museum for a World Oceans Day Celebration! From 11am-2pm Meet a Mermaid from Dream Entertainers for storytime and songs of the sea! Dive into displays of ocean specimens from the museum’s non-live natural history collections (including a Blacktip Shark, Stingray and other deep ocean creatures), explore ocean-themes throughout the galleries, talk to aquarium staff about deep sea and Chesapeake Bay animals. There will also be exhibits about wise seafood choices through the Seafood Watch program and how trash in the oceans affects animal health.

- 2pm Public feeding of Fish in Chesapeake Bay Tank
- 2:30pm Scuba Dive Program and Sea Turtle feeding in Chesapeake Bay Aquarium
- 3pm Scuba Dive cleaning of Schooling Tank
- 3:30pm “Into the Deep” planetarium program
Cost: Activities included in Museum admission. Planetarium shows are free for VLM members, $4 plus admission for non-members.
