Annual Support of the Virginia Living Museum

The joy of discovery … a treasured memory of interaction with native animals … a career inspiration … these are some of the events occurring regularly at the Virginia Living Museum.

Every museum depends on annual financial support from its community to survive and thrive. This special place — where families enjoy the wonders of nature, students engage in hands-on science education and future scientists, veterinarians and biology teachers become interested in pursuing those careers — is counting on your support. Each week the Museum requires 650 lbs of food to feed the animals so a gift of $100, for example, might provide a weekly supply of 300 large live minnows for our fish to eat. A gift of $500 could provide for the care and feeding of our bald eagles. A gift of $1,000 might cover such items as school group education programs. The Museum’s fiscal year runs from July 1 to June 30. Donors are recognized each fiscal year in our Annual Report.
