Jurassic Giants

Experience the largest animatronic dinosaur the Virginia Living Museum has ever featured. Our conservation garden will be the home of Giganotosaurus!

Experience a variety of other roaring, stomping, animatronic dinosaurs in indoor and outdoor galleries!  Journey back millions of years to the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous periods and experience life-like dinosaurs around every turn.

Dinosaurs will include indoor and outdoor galleries including the following Dinosaurs:

Paleontology Safari

Time: 9am – 1pm

Location: meet at museum, safari is off-site

Cost: $45 per member, $70 per non-member.

Reveal fossils of organisms that were once prolific in Virginia 3-5 million years ago. Hand-collect these fossils in the field, learn how they became fossils, and gain basic identification skills. Make a connection between these fossils and their modern day relatives.
