Vibernum dentatum

Light: Full sun – part shade
Soil Type: Moist, well-drained soil
Growth Rate: Fast
Flower Color: White

Elegant, tidy shrub with arching branches and overall rounded form. Showy cream white flowers in flat-topped clusters, blue-black oval fruits in the fall, glossy leaves with prominent, veination-like pleats, gray bark. Sukers and spreads. Should be pruned to keep looking its best.

The creamy flowers are not fragrant and they appear in early summer for two weeks on 2 to 4 inch cymes. The fall fruit is a blue-black drupe, small, very attractive to birds which disseminate the seeds. An adaptable and hardy shrub, it withstands high pH, heavy soils and various climatic conditions, some salt tolerance.
