See the LOVEwork at the Virginia Living Museum, created as part of the museum’s 50th anniversary celebration in 2016.
The L shows the otter on the museum’s logo, representing the many mammals, birds, fish, reptiles and amphibians native to Virginia on exhibit at the VLM. The O is a view of the earth from space, representing mankind’s connection to the universe and the museum’s space science/planetarium programs. A T. rex. head sits on the V, representing decades of summer dinosaur exhibits and the permanent outdoor Dinosaur Discovery Trail. The E shows Crossvine flowers, Bignonia capreolata, representing the extensive collection of native plants in exhibit plantings and display gardens.
Come feel the LOVE and snap your photo at the Virginia Living Museum. #LOVEVA, #VLM.
The sign is located outside, to the left of the museum’s entrance.
