Sculptures throughout the Museum and outdoor areas complement the living exhibits. At the entrance visitors are greeted by The Winner by Glenna Goodacre and the LOVE sculpture, part of the Virginia is for Lovers campaign – both are favorite photo subjects.
Inside the museum, kids love to climb on and in the giant turtle and the realistic looking forest log.
Outside there are several animal sculptures by Eastern Shore artists William and David Turner, ranging from the large climbable black bear family to the delicate herons in the Conservation Garden and the stately bald eagle opposite the Bald Eagle habitat.
