Bank of America donates $10,000 to Virginia Living Museum

Bank of America has given the Virginia Living Museum a $10,000 grant to support the museum’s efforts as a vital community anchor providing formal and informal science education about our natural resources.

“The VLM applauds Bank of America for being named the Most Innovative Investment Bank for Climate Change and Sustainability in recognition of their global initiatives and financial support for a low-carbon economy,” said museum Executive Director Page Hayhurst.

Each year the museum serves 200,000 visitors, 40,000 students and more than 6,000 member families as part of its mission to connect people to nature through educational experiences that promote conservation.

Bank of America Hampton Roads Market President Charlie Henderson presented the check.

The Virginia Living Museum is a non-profit museum, education center and sanctuary of non-releasable animals that is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2016. Call 757-595-1900 or visit thevlm.org for more information.
