Veterinary Clinic:
At the Wild Care Center, guests can observe our dedicated veterinary team in action. Led by Dr. Jay Rivais, DVM, CertAqV, the team includes licensed veterinary technician Natalie Clapp and veterinary assistant Cat McClain. Together, they perform a wide range of essential medical tasks—including physical exams, radiographs, surgical procedures, laboratory diagnostics, medication preparation, and more—ensuring the highest standard of care for our animal residents.





Nutrition Center:
Our Animal Nutrition Center is where every animal’s diet is carefully prepared to meet their unique nutritional needs. This state-of-the-art facility features restaurant-grade ingredients and professional equipment, ensuring the highest quality of care. Key features include a walk-in refrigerator and freezer, a designated grain storage room, a commercial dishwasher, and viewable food preparation counters that allow guests to observe the process firsthand.


Designed and constructed by local partners James River Architects and W.M. Jordan, this innovative new facility includes numerous sustainable and energy-conserving design features, including recycled materials, exterior glass with bird-strike deterrent features, and variable refrigerant flow (VRF) equipment for its HVAC systems.
