For The Littles: “Underwater”
Time: 9:15am-9:45am
Participants: Recommended ages 3-5
Description: Join our special time for the little homeschoolers as we read a story, do an activity, and meet an ambassador animal. This month, we will explore the ocean and the creatures that live there!
Price: $15 non-member child, $4 member child, $18 non-member adult, free member adult (but must have ticket). Museum admission is included in program cost.
In the Bay
Time: 10:00am-10:45am (first session), 11:00am-11:45am (second session)
Participants: Recommended ages 6+
Description: Come join us as we explore the habitats of Virginia! This month, we will take a look at Virginia’s Chesapeake Bay. Learn how important the bay is for Virginia, what animals, plants, and abiotic factors make up the bay, and what we can do to protect its future!
Price: $15 non-member child, $4 member child, $18 non-member adult, free member adult (but must have ticket). Museum admission is included in program cost.
The World of Aquariums
Time: 10:30am-12:00pm
Participants: Must be 12 or older. Parents may attend, but in an observational capacity only.
Description: Ever wonder what it’s like to work at the Virginia Living Museum? Come explore the various careers that make everything we do possible. This month, we will explore the world of aquariums. Join us for a behind the scenes tour of our aquatic areas, learn about what it takes to care for our swimming friends, and test your skills at some water quality sampling.
Price: $24 non-member child, $12 member child. One adult may accompany each student, but must have valid museum admission and are participating in an observational capacity only. Museum admission is included in program cost.
