As the sun sets, the night sky comes alive at the Virginia Living Museum. Join us for an evening of outdoor stargazing (weather permitting) paired with an exciting lineup of Planetarium and Laser shows. From guided views of the night sky to music set against immersive visuals, it’s an experience designed for all ages.


Stargazing

As darkness falls, our astronomy team will guide you through Virginia’s night sky. Look for planets, constellations, and seasonal highlights through our telescopes.

Telescopes: Located in the Abbitt Observatory or Conservation Garden, depending on weather conditions.

Stargazing is free and open to all event attendees.

Please note: Planetarium and Laser shows require advance registration and a paid ticket.

6:00 pm – The Sky Tonight

8:30 pm – Killer Queen
10:00 pm – Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon

The Virginia Living Museum staff will begin setting up for an after hours event around 3PM on the main floor.

This should not interfere with your experience and we will not be closing early.
