Help Over the Holidays!

“Don’t wait for other people to be loving, giving, compassionate, grateful, forgiving, generous, or friendly… lead the way!”-Steve Maraboli

The holidays are a special time for volunteering and giving service to your community. The Virginia Living Museum thrives on volunteers 365 days a year. Even when we are closed our animals have to be fed and cared for ,so we have dedicated volunteers that offer their time on these days to help the staff. It is in the true spirit of giving that they donate time in effort to support the museum’s mission.

Animal Care volunteers choose to take the time away from their families to come and help care for the many animals we have at our museum on Christmas Eve, Christmas and New Years Day. We recognize their dedication as a whole and commend their service.

Our special volunteer spotlight this month is on Debbie Cornier for her extra efforts in Animal Care. She has picked up many shifts over the past months and continues to show her commitment to the museum. Thank you Debbie for your service!

The rest of our wonderful volunteers continue their service on our days of operation around the holidays; including the day after Christmas and New Years Eve.

We honor their service this holiday season and in recognition of their service in 2014 – we dedicate this entry. We are so grateful for our volunteers. They are a vital part of this museum. We  thank you and we welcome anyone interested in volunteering to apply and  to become  a part of our family here at the Virginia Living Museum.

Wishing you and your family a very happy holiday season from Volunteer Services!
