See the Show!

Hey there folks!

It’s been kind of hard for us to notice over the last few days, since our local Virginia weather has been, well, nothing short of awful.  But right now, the sky is putting on quite the show.

Sadly, the lousy weather will be continuing for at least a couple more days, according to the people who know way more about the weather than I do.  But one thing I know for sure…this too shall pass.  And when it does, you’re going to want to be ready.  There are some amazing planets, beautiful constellations, and more that you can see in the sky in February.  So make sure you catch them.

Plus, Perseverance is getting ready to come in for a landing on Mars!  You really don’t want to  miss this.  It’s been a long wait, but very soon, we’ll have a new roving robot doing amazing science on the surface of the Red Planet for an entire Martian year at least.  This rover is designed to look for direct evidence of Martian life.  I can’t wait to see what it finds!

How can you get all the info on this?  Well, I’m glad you asked.  Please join me on the Virginia Living Museum’s Facebook Page LIVE on Saturday, February 13 at 7:30pm  for our monthly virtual stargazing event: STARturday Night LIVE!  We might not be able to observe, but I’ll take you on a virtual tour of all the exciting things you can see once your sky clears out.  Don’t miss it!  It’s always a lot of fun, and yes, I’m able to take your questions, so please be ready to ask me things.  I love answering your questions live online!

See you all then!
