Want to help animals out?

If you are looking for a way to actively contribute to helping out the critters here at the VLM, your donations will help us to provide the best care possible for our resident animals. Many of these items, if donated, will help keep the critters happy, healthy, and clean. Critters always need care, and by providing any of these items, your contributions will directly benefit the animals firsthand. The following new or gently used items would be greatly appreciated:
Gift cards for Costco, Walmart, Farm Fresh, Food Lion, Pet Smart or other pet supply stores, Lowes, or Home Depot.
Venison, if already gotten from it’s source (it doesn’t need to be cooked)
Rabbit water containers and holders, preferably metal
Plastic food containers with lids
Rubbermaid plastic tubs or similar
Large fish nets or pool nets on/with poles
Heating pads and heat lamps
Small or Medium hard sided airline kennels
10 gallon aquariums with lids
All sizes of towels and linens without holes or rips
Infant blankets
New scrub brushes
Dish liquid
Free and Clear laundry detergent without scent or additives
New boxes of latex gloves, all sizes
New mops and mop heads, preferably the string kind rather than the sponge kind
New 13 gallon and 55 gallon garbage bags
New sponges, scrubber or otherwise
New ziploc sandwich bags and gallon freezer bags
Bleach
Serrated kitchen knives for diet preparation
New plastic cutting boards
Scissors
Duct tape, Scotch tape, or Masking tape
heavy leather work gloves or welders gloves
Flashlights
Batteries ( AAA, AA, or D)
Potable water hoses
Hose nozzles
New spray bottles with sprayers
Brooms and Dustpans
Plastic Cable Ties (zip ties)
Tools (hammers, saws, screw drivers, staple guns, power tools, etc)
Hardware (screws, nails, etc)
PVC pipe and fittings
If you are looking to help out the veterinary clinic, there are many items that are needed there as well. Such items would include:
An Avian Incubator with auto turn
Digital Baby Scales
Digital Gram Scales
Digital Bathroom Scales
New insulin syringes
New 1 cc syringes
New 3 cc syringes
If you have specific medical supplies to donate, please call first so that we can ask the veterinary technician what may be needed for the clinic.
