Virginia Living Museum Receives Donation from Bass Tournament


Newport News, VA (December 21, 2017) – The James River Striped Bass Tournament was held on November 11, 2017. A total amount of $10,000 was donated to the Virginia Living Museum (VLM).

The donation was presented to the Virginia Living Museum at the Captains Party held at the Deep Creek Landing Marina in Newport News on Friday, November 10, 2017.  The James River Striped Bass Fishing Tournament is coordinated by Randy Abbitt (of National Exterminating Company Inc.) and his daughter, Jessica Godfrey. The proceeds will benefit the Museum’s award winning education programs, superior animal care, engaging exhibits and conservation projects.

Heads Up!

The Virginia Living Museum will open at 11AM to the public today to allow staff to get operations up and running after extensive power loss last night.

This will NOT interfere with regular summer camp operations, camp will begin at 9AM.
