Spring Break Is Almost Here!

Spring is here! (Sorry Chesapeake Chuck…) And the VLM educators are gearing up for Spring Break Camp, April 2-6, 2018.
Discovery Awaits! is this year’s K-2 camp and will be filled with some hair raising experiments. Each day will focus on a different science mystery just waiting for our youngest campers to jump in and investigate.
Museum By Design instructors testing their “Sea Turtle Guts” activity.
Current 3rd-5th graders can enroll in Museum By Design and will learn exactly what it takes to work at the VLM. Campers will go behind the scenes and get hands-on museum experience such as digging up dirt to prepare for our summer Ozone exhibit and preparing food for our animals, along with many other (less strenuous) activities like the one pictured to the right.
Camp hours will be from 9am-3pm with options for Before Care (8-9am) and After Care (3-5:30pm). Click here for more details and to register. Hope you can join in on the fun!
Fortunate to have the week off with your kids? Check out our non-camp events happening during Spring Break. Which includes the opening of a brand new Moray Eel exhibit and ends with a family friendly, after hours Under the Sea party!
